So I was talking to a fellow member here and we were discussing doctors. I have gone under a lot of tests for the things that the doctor thought was wrong with me. When they all came back normal or fine I was basically dismissed, with no answers. When they came back with something wrong, basically the same thing. So what if they only got paid for giving you answers and ideas on what to do? The findings of tests, I'm anemic, which I did get a blood transfusion (cost a pretty penny and nothing talked about after that), and that I have a partially enlarged heart, never talked about again. Severe Edema of the legs, a test to make sure there was no blood clot, there isn't so no answer about that, no meds given for it. I'm really starting to feel, if you are hired to do a job and don't do it, do you get paid? No you don't so why do they get paid? I have all these bills from paying for something that I got nothing out of other then lost money and time? Still have all the same health issues, and no answers. Wish we had more doctors around here is my answer and still think no answers, no payment. Yeah I'm annoyed.

Can you imagine working in a restaurant and serving a customer part of their meal? We'd get in big trouble!:(

@Ithink Doctors make so much money, they should at least relieve our physical issues.

the consults alone are expensive for a GP .. how much more for a specialist?

For me with our insurance, which we already pay about 300 a month for it costs me a 100 to just walk in their door.

Change doctors. And let the new one know the other doctor told you have a condition but NEVER treats it.

Some professional don't do their job well because they expect the patients to be patient with them. Otherwise just plain lazy. Hope you get a second opinion from another dr

That is a problem as where I am there isn't many to go to, and I cant afford to as of now with all the other doctor bills hanging over me. If I knew I would get answers Id get a loan if I had to, to go to another one. Well Id have to find a way there too .. haha

I have your first two health problems I think (hereditary). To fix the first, I always make sure I have food with a good supply of iron in them. The second, hmm, I just live with it.

Yes when I found out I was anemic, caused by a female issue, that I have I had to have a blood transfusion as I was really bad off. Was never given advice luckily I love liver and such so I have that under control. I don't know much about the enlargement as wasn't really told anything. I get tired way easier then I used to but .. the edema is the worst. Legs get hard big and hurt bad. I cant wear shoes half the time unless I get straight up and push them on. Just wish I had more answers then I have found on my own. I was born with a heart murmur so don't know if that has anything to do with anything.
