Headed to MIT
Dayme Delgado is the daughter of Cuban immigrants. When she started Kindergarten, she didn't understand any English and struggled for three years, until she started learning math, and it clicked for her. Math is Dayme's friend. She understands it and rarely needed to study.
She helped many students with math, and is a member of SheSTEM, pointing women towards math and science.
She was accepted to MIT on a full math scholarship.

Thanks for sharing the encouraging news stories! We need more reminders that compassion, personal achievement in spite of adversity, creative ways to help people (the service dogs), still happen every day. I enjoyed seeing the photos for both stories too.
