Friday the 13th. Haven't had one of those for a while. Are you superstitious? Do you carry lucky items with you like a rabbit's foot? In some cultures, Friday the 13th is not seen as a unlucky day. In fact, in Italy Friday the 17th is bad luck. Tuesday the 13th is actually unlucky in Greece and in South America Tuesday the 13th is unlucky. In China it is lucky. The fear of Friday the 13th is actually called paraskavedekatriaphobia. It is stated on About.com that up to 8 percent of Americans could suffer from this extreme fear. Trips should never be started on Friday the 13th or you could encounter misfortune. Don't change your bed on Friday or you could get bad dreams. If you want to read more on this subject here is an interesting article:
Why is Friday the 13th considered unlucky? We explore the origins and history of superstitions surrounding the date.

I'm not superstitious but my grandmother was and she would be shaking in her boots when Friday the 13th rolled around. Wonder if she's turning in her grave now?

A lot of buildings don't label the 13th floor as "13" because of people's superstitions with the number 13. On Friday the 13th I'll watch videos of Scar, my favorite black cat.

i should not believe it but i kind of do. i mean i had a lovely older daughter born on that day and it was an easy delivery. and for years she was a good child, then around 16 yrs. she turned hateful on me and i have never been able to connect well with her since no matter how good i am to her. she is the one in Ohio a good 1600 miles away which i am sure she is happy about.
