Here are some songs that use a weather as part of the title. Can you recall the name of the songs and artists? There is a little twist with all of the songs. See if you know what these "chestnuts" have in common. Listen to this sample video/song to get your first clue and common theme of the music trivia: Here are the clues: (Remember listening to the video provides each song's clue which is in the title) Good luck!!! 1. This artist began his musical career in the swing era with bandleaders Harry James and Tommy Dorsey. He found success as a solo artist after he signed with Columbia Records. By the 1940's he was an idol of the "bobby soxers," sort of a pre-Beatlemania hysteria. This song was previously composed and written with German lyrics. It was changed to English by lyricist Johnny Mercer. The artist had worked before with Mercer which probably influenced his decision to cover and record this song. Although covered by various artists, this singer's version became the best known. A great summer song. 2. The artist's version of this song was never a hit - it was a cover by Peter, Paul & Mary that made #2 in the US in February 1963. The singer gained National exposure when he performed this song with Peter, Paul & Mary at the 1963 Newport Folk Festival. This artist was influenced by the songwriting of Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, and Hank Williams. The track was recorded for his second studio album and was described as a protest song. You may know the answer my friend from all of these clues. 3. This American band played a sort of "sunshine pop" music in the 1960's. This tune was the group"s second #1 hit. Their first was Cherish," recorded the previous year. "Bones Howe produced this song, making significant changes to Ruthann Friedman's demo to give the song more pop appeal. You may recall the ba-ba-ba-ba-ba" backing vocals of the group which Howe incorporated into this track. Happy recap: 1. Played with Tommy Dorsey and Harry James. Started a "bobby soxer" movement. One of my favorite Summer songs. 2. Artist influenced by Woody Gutherie among others. Viewed as a protest song. Trying to find answers. 3. Many other pop hits among them "Cherish." Associated with 1960's "sunshine pop." ...Use those clues folks!!!! Appreciate all who participate and you know what I say...as always, thanks for playing! Hope these songs brought back a pleasant memory for some... *Bio info from Wikipedia and songfacts.com Photo- Music.jpg/Google images

I love the song, but I have no idea what those three songs are. I'll most likely recognize the titles when you give the answer.

@dgobucks226 Yup - know Blowin' in the Wind and Windy. Wouldn't have known the people who sang them, though I am also familiar with their names. That's just how much I pay attention to who sings what. I don't think I've ever heard Frank sing Summer Wind. I would need to hear it to know though.

Frank did that song on the Strangers In The Night Album. Strangers put Frank back on top of the pop charts as that song hit #1.
