Thursday Evening

Today was a at home day to work, working on the homestead. Every few years you have to cut back the trees and shrubs or they will take over the land, its been so many I stopped counting. Me and my little cutters was not enough, this rainy year they grew faster than ever.
Tony mustered up a little energy and we went walking in the woods, my woods, hanging keep out signs since hunting begins this weekend, I was mushroom hunting, But I did see a deer running away from us. I do not want the neighbors hunting back there since they shot my house.
Then we took a couple hours to cut down more of those old hedge bushes, privot, that had turned into trees, So I can get the electric fence up for the dogs. I have all the stuff waiting. I hope to get that section of brush removed soon.
I took Tony out to eat for dinner, to Captain D`s his favorite place to eat. I think I have built him up enough to go hunting this season, last year he was in the hospital just about all of hunting season could not breathe or walk, now I have him hiking short distances.
Now its my time for mylotting and doing laundry.

Yes I am learning, For a week I only found poison mushrooms but today I found two types that are edible, BUT I will not eat them till I learn more, make sure they are the correct type.

@andriaperry Ugh no way. So many people go off looking for mushrooms due to irresponsible posts about their edible properties and where they may be found.

What an adventure! We sometimes have mushrooms that randomly grow in our yard, they are poisonous obviously, but still pretty neat to see.

Yes they are, I am just having fun finding them and learning their names and if they can be eaten.

It was fine. I t was low key as usual. i had an extended convo with the new roomie since it is the middle of the month he just wants to pay for half the month and then start paying the full amount next month starting on the first.. That is reasonable, but I have been planning on him paying a full month. I said the lease could run from the 15th to the 15th. Maybe I should back down on that..I mean pro ration is the way most things are run. What do you think?

@andriaperry yeah I guess I am a little afraid of him moving out after two weeks because I am not that close to his workplace. That's the risk I guess..I can get by on a lessor amount this month. I'll give him a call tomorrow.

Yes I pro rate the rent. I take how many days are in the month and divide the rent into those days to get a daily amount. Then I multiply that b the days left. Then I get full rent on the first. Yes do it. You will have some rent this month anyways.

I do but I guess that is me. I sit and read while in the waiting rooms of offices, so I do sit sometimes.

We have picked up so many black walnuts it's unbelievable. The squirrels love them but you can't even walk on the lawn there are so many. We collect them in 5 gallon buckets, we have collected 8 buckets so far. We take them to the local woods where the animals can have them.

I have an electric chainsaw, its good but the chain will slip and come off at times and you have to align it back on the small bar.

But that is good cause your babies are back home. Yes it has taken a full 10 months but he is walking on his own and can breathe.

Yes I often multi task, nothing you can do while the machines run, right? I am glad your day is going good.
