My son came back home from school yesterday and shouted "Yeah!! School holidays !!" Yes, next week is Diwali festival, the Indian festival of lights, a grand celebration to celebrate in Malaysia too. Initially, it was one day public holiday, but now it had changed to 2 days. However for schools, it will be 9 days of holiday break after the final exam. A great time to kick the school bag aside, enjoy indoor or outdoor activities. I have a few neighbors who are Indian families. They do not talk much. I think they will visit their hometown during the school holidays. As for us, watching online movies and blogging will be fun at home. Dining out and vacation would be expensive. So, wishing all Indian mylotters a Happy Diwali and drive safely!! Where do you go during school holidays? My photo: I drew the snoopy

Nice drawing. So do you like Diwali festival? Has any of your Indian neighbors ever invited you for the festival?

nope none of my neighbors invited me because we don't greet each other. Good to see the "KOLAM " at the shopping mall, boy Indians sure are artistic. However I do enjoy buying muruku and munch them as snack. You going anywhere? The last time I visited an Indian neighbor house for diwali when I was 5 years old, that would be 40 years ago.

Wishing your family much joy during your son's vacation from school. Where does he attend, and what is he studying?
