Hi folks life is still very hectic at the moment. I have a short while free so thought why not just pop in to say hi and hope everyone is fine. We are shortly going off to my Aunt and uncles Golden Wedding celebrations. Can you imagine 50 years being together. What is rather poignant about it was that I remember going to their wedding all those years ago. In fact I went to three of my aunts weddings. How time flies eh. I have been married for 35 years so not too far off the horizon for our 40th let alone our 50th. Lordy. I tease my wife sometimes telling her I could have murdered her three times and been a free man by now! That of course would never happen but it makes us laugh! How many years have you been married?

@garymarsh6 I am glad you had a great evening. It happens to see some members of the family only on special occasions.

I am not married. :) I love my freedom. :) You can imagine considering the restrictive lifestyle Indians have. :)

I guess not so much for the educated Vanny. I think you could handle yourself rather than being oppressed! You are a lady who eloquently can speak her mind!

Living with another person takes a lot of giving up as well as accepting on both sides @garymarsh6 it isn't easy but well worth it.

Good to see a discussion from you and we often joke about if we'd murdered someone we'd be out of jail by now. We've just passed 46 years married so a golden wedding is starting to loom on the horizon for us too. Unbelievable really.

The only problem with the 50 figure there is at least another 20 years + to add on age wise!

I was admiring one couple who had been with each other for more than 50 years, when some relatives of the couple whispered to me: 'he strangled her a few times since she liked flirting with other men. They almost broke up with each other a few times when she was in her mid 40s!'
