Do some internet photos melt your heart?

As you know, I tend to shy away from Pixaboy-type photos in my posts. They often seem so cliche or posed. But this one kind of captured my heart a few years ago, and I've hung on to it. In fact, I leave it on my desktop, so I can glance at it now and then. Apparently there are groups of Native Americans in Northern Canada and Alaska that get along well with the Caribou that inhabit the same regions. This child, sleeping on (I believe) a female reindeer makes me smile, no matter what kind of a mood I'm in.

@kobesbuddy This is not a smile but a shrieking laughter! :-)

Good grief, a genuine smile, for a change! Even the camel is moved by it:)

Looks like smiles. I wonder if the camel is female. My horse was arrogant toward adults but gentle with children.

Never thought of that @TheHorse do deer and elk do the same thing?

Yes, I have seen that before and it is adorable. I use as much of my own photos as I can but if all else fails then it's Pixabay. BTW I think some of my photos are not bad at all but Pixabay informed me not to send them any more for consideration because mine are not good at all. What do you think?

Pixaboy said that to you? What do you gain if they accept one of your photos?

@TheHorse It looks more to me as though the caribou is domesticated. It seems to have a tether down under the jaw.

What a precious photo, that child is as secure as they come!:) My cousin Karen went on a missions trip years back, to the Native Americans in Northern Canada. She really enjoyed it!

Were they able to help the folks up there? Do they have their own religion?

@TheHorse It actually was a love offering trip. To let them know, that God's love reaches out to everyone, in the entire world. They weren't trying to sell a religion.

I was trying to find a touching photo of mine that is a father holding her child walking in the beach but I couldn't find it. Indeed this is a moving photo.

Sleeping toddlers are often adorable. I wondered if this is an albino caribou, but it doesn't have the pink eyes. I suspect that it's camouflage for when the snows come.

@TheHorse I think they might be Peary Caribou, which are slate grey during the warmer months and white in the winter. Arctic wolves are their biggest predators.

That is a lovely photo. And both of them look so calm and secure. It has some depth to be felt and that can not be expressed in words. I came across this old discussion on the right side of my screen and the photo instantly captured my thoughts. A beautiful pic to share.
