Ballet is back on

My girls had their first ballet class yesterday. They did have the summer off, and it took us a while to register them again, for a few different reasons, but I managed to get them spots in their respective classes. A level up from last year. They both seemed happy to be back. There were a few familiar faces from last year, which is nice. It can be good for the kids to recognize some kids. It's also kind of nice for us as well. We recognize some of the parents and gives us a chance to talk with other parents. Either way, they're happy. And we're happy.

My girls took tap, jazz, and ballet. Their favorite of the 3 was tap. They did quite well with it too. Their grandmother, on their father's side, gifted them the lessons. I couldn't have afforded the payments on my own.

@dodo19 I asked her why she didn't pay for the boys to attend. She gave me no reason for it. Their father had taken tap lessons when he was their age. I know they would have enjoyed it as well.

@ElusiveButterfly It's odd that she didn't pay for the boys, especially if their dad did tap dance. I would have paid for them too, if the boys were interested in doing it.

It was nice that their grandmother helped pay for it. It can definitely be hard. We haven’t always had an easy time paying for it, but we do manage

It is good that the girls will be able to enjoy their lessons again now - and bonus that they have a few in the class that they recognise.

Exactly. It's definitely good for them. While I waited for my eldest, my youngest daughter was showing me some things that they did. She is the class right before.

@dodo19 All ballet students like showing off what they have achieved during their lessons.

I wanted to take ballet when I was in grade school. My pal and I learned a few basic steps on our own but didn't pursue it.

Sometimes it happens. We can lose interest in some things.

I am glad that your girls are still interested in ballet. I think learning ballet is good for girls as they will become very elegant when they grow up

They can learn a lot with ballet. So long as they’re having fun, that’s really what matters the most.

Ballet can be fun. I've taken one of my granddaughters to her ballet class. It was a toddler class, and oh so entertaining.

I think its wonderful when our children can partake in activities like this. My brother's daughter took tap, jazz and ballet, and since he was a single father quite often Auntie (that's me) was called upon to take Clarissa to ballet, not because he couldn't but because she wanted me to.

It's nice that your niece could do all of that and wanted you to take her. Some nice bonding time for the two of you.
