A lot of lewd stuff and erotic stuff is out there, which possibly entered around 1960s. As I was telling others, we have a bunch of uneducated people who turn to film industry for employment, and manage to come up with really vulgar stuff, which clicks on box offices, making them repeat and become even more daring. Government and censor boards watch on helplessly whereas demand for such things keeps growing thanks to various ways of propagating such information now available to lure youngsters into watching such things. Naturally, crime rates climb. Why can't we have people going for movies rate the movie considering whether it is likely to increase crimes, discord, and create riots, etc. All the monies for that movie should be kept in escrow and the government can release it in piece meal depending upon how the crime rates have gone and how people have perceived the movie to be contributing towards such crimes. Broad classifications would be Do you think that the movie had content either as dialogue, songs, dance or gestures that could be harmful towards a. Children's safety; b. Women's safety; c. Men's safety; e. Safety of public property; f. Propagates unlawful activity People would have to rate the film based on each such criteria giving marks from 1 to 10. With higher number indicating more risk. This classification would be after censors have done their job. If people's classification differs greatly from what censors are doing, time some people were asked to leave their jobs and sit at home instead of taking away tax payer's monies. From the collection (note not profits), the government may collect a reasonable sum that may be needed to control the kind of crimes that are likely because of the influence of the movie.

I agree censors restrict. But in addition, people should have a way to extract taxes from movies that they consider are taking the society to a dangerous route.

We have Kama Sutra, We have Khujraho, Ajanta Ellora caves. Indian movies are mild in comparison to that.

@Daljinder .. I like that Titli song from Chennai Express. I felt hesitant to share it with Pony...Plenty of it is done aesthetically, but towards the very ending of the song..around 1:56 or 1.57 ..it gives a moment of shock. When we can't share something beautiful with our friends from other cultures ...who could appreciate the rest of it, I think we have a right to object or express our dissatisfaction.
Presenting Chennai Express latest song Titli in voice of Chinmayi Sripaada and Gopi Sunder. This action romantic comedy film is directed by talented Rohit Sh...

@vandana7 You definitely have the right to object or not watch it at all. Though I still believe that what you feel is the by-product of this "mysterious gap" where we suddenly became too conservative than our ancestors. Hey Americans tolerate Rihanna, Britney Spears, etc... Watch this video for example and watch till the end. These are two separate videos on the same song. If they can handle this they can definitely handle songs like above.

@vandana7 I saw the video linked just now. I don't understand the language. No, I am not saying you are saying it. It is a general consensus in our country. Anywhos I was wondering isn't there a censor board for south movies? Because what I see in this video you shared is nothing in comparison to what level they can go to.

I'm just wondering when you mentioned that the censor boards watch "helplessly", what's the current censorship rule there now? What sort of things are censored?

Censor boards try to restrict some explicit scenes. But then, they come under major criticism. People even lose their jobs on that. There are scenes that I would not have allowed to be inserted in movies and songs.

That's sad when even the government can't do anything.

Such films should be censored. Such movies should not be allowed to sell to people...Such films will have a bad influence on people, especially children....

Film censorship should be stricter so that such movies won't be out and let children watch it. Crime might play a role in the increase of crime much related to s*x.
