Question for writers

I have a habit of trusting people and have tended to assume they pay me. Mostly people do but I end up doing too much for a pittance. This time I stood my ground but now I need to write a contract. I was wondering if there is a standard way or a link to a contract writers would use?

I think you can seek help with a lawyer as they can guide you in constructing a good and safe contracts

@Jackalyn Oh ok. I guess you can start by writing down all the things that you think is for your own good and what you can offer with your client as an agreement for both sides to agree with and let them sign it as your proof for yourself but still needs some notarization from law firms

I make the borrower sign a promissory note. That is a proof of the amount the person owes me.

Maybe a simple acknowledgement will do in any kind of paper, like "I, (my name), acknowledging that I borrowed $100 to Jackalyn this time and date and I will pay the said amount on (this time and date). Failure to do so is giving her to sue me." Lol
Not really sure if this is accepted.
