What???

my chat with sir A.

I conditioned myself to wake up early today; prepared breakfast and opened my phone. Then a message from my colleague Sir A said we have to wait for announcement because apparently, we have no duty AGAIN today. (The transport strike is on its second day). “What?” was how I reacted to him, of course through text message; so I immediately messaged my colleague Miss CC about it. I even told Sir A that I was about to do 3 sunny-side up eggs for me, my sister, and my son; also, I said I have to delay my bath to know the latest directive from school. “What?” was also the reaction of Miss CC. She was about to have her bath when her phone rang. Both of us are so disgusted but what can we do? It is the national and local announcement. That is another 2 days less than our 15 days salary for the second half of the month.

Same here, I even scolded our youngest Brother last night because I thought we are not included in the Transport Strike but apparently we are still.

@JustBhem , we were texted by the secretary of the university chancellor for two days no class, so the two days exam Monday and Tuesday will be moved next week, the rest of the days must go on tomorrow up to Friday.

yes we had to, because if we will have duty, then we can change, but if none, then we can still stay home.

@LadyDuck , the two days srtil=ke ended this day.Despite strike, but there are many vehicles and taxis running in our city. I went to school for I assorted all the test questionnaires and brought them to the dean;s office. All proctors must go there to get the questionnaires and log. The office of our dean is located on the 5th floor of the Physics building. I rode on the elevator. I carried too heavy test questionnaires good for 8 sections at 48 students each, my God, I was so tired carrying those two rounds. I was so afraid for I was alone in the elevator back and forth, no students, no class. There were only 3 of us in the faculty office preparing for the exam tomorrow that starts at 8 up to 4:30, with one hour break for lunch, Huh, huh.

it is the sunny-side-up. or the fried egg. that is why it is sunny side up because the egg looks like the sun (yolk) facing up.

@fishtiger58, two days due to nationwide transport strike. The drivers and operators disagree with the modernization of the vehicles. They wanted the same face of the jeepneys, my goodness. The appearance of the jeepneys was designed during the Spaniard's occupation in the Philippines for almost 300 years.

@cacay1 but they main appearance of the jeepney should not be defaced. it is our own mode of transportation and the altered jeepney looks like a mini-bus.

My son told me about the second day strike again and told me that our city won't be joining anyway. But there was an announcement of classes being cancelled however he still went to school because they have practice for their intramural tomorrow. Last weekend I was asked by one of our employees if we have work Monday and I said yes. There were a lot of public transport yesterday as well and it didn't affect our work at all and the only bank that was closed was UCPB and I was really disappointed since I have a transaction with them.

i guess many of the students there have their own cars, because they did not need to ride on public utility vehicles.

@ridingbet I got a text message from the adviser at 5am in the morning that they have practice. And yes you are right most students in Ateneo have cars. However, like what my son said, our city didn't join the transport strike so they were a lot of public transport available.
