This One Had Me Choking Back the Tears

We had our class to go to last night. I always grump about it because I find it boring. Last night was boring, and I was very tired because of lack of sleep. They played a video from YouTube called "ReMoved." The room was totally quiet as it played. I had to choke back the tears. I know that there is a great need for Foster parents. We are Fostering our granddaughter. The circumstances for her being with us are different from those of the children in the video. Take a look and see for yourself. Think about becoming a Foster parent.

My Aunt Bea and Uncle Ben fostered many kids in their day, some of whom still keep in touch.

Your aunt and uncle must have made quite an impression on those young people. So nice they still keep in touch with them.

@ElusiveButterfly Well, my uncle passed some years ago, but my aunt is still going strong at 95, albeit in a nursing home (she has MS).

My sister fostered to adopt. But being a foster parent only must be incredibly tough. My sister and BIL still keep in touch with their kid's original foster parents.

I have always wanted to be a foster parent. Right now I do not have the room or means to take in foster kids. But I hope I can someday.

@Srbageldog I would not be able to deal with someone that troubled.

@ElusiveButterfly I think it takes special types of people to foster. Most foster kids have emotional and behavioral problems, and not everyone is cut out to deal with that. I'm not sure if I could. We took in my boyfriend's half sister (who he had never met) several years ago and she had behavioral problems I couldn't cope with... But she was an adult so it was different. Mentally she was stuck at about the age of 12. By the end of her stay here I wanted to kill her. And I am a nonviolent person normally.

I have yet to watch the second part of it. After watching the first part I'm curious about what the second part holds.

My grandmother fostered many kids. One particular used to always send cards on the holidays and write a nice letter.

I wish I was able to foster children but I can't. I know there are many children that need foster parents.

What a sad video, we have fostered our niece for several years, until she has grown up enough to take care of herself.

I give people a lot of credit when they choose to be foster parents. If I was younger I probably would consider it

When I was doing on one of our courses over the phone I met some people that were great-grandparents who were fostering children.
