I must go to work. I suppose I can be thankful for a job, but I would rather fall asleep and stay home.
I have been reading a little this morning.
For those who know @OreoBrownie she has a post up about what is happening in her life. I am thankful for many memories of many lotters.

She has several health problems. In her post she explains that she had a broken bone in June and that she is in a nursing home receiving physical therapy.

It's a fun place here. There are some great writers and lots of diverse opinions in everything from food to music to religion. But we're a community!!! (Wish the rest of the country would learn this....)

I do what I can. 
I feel like I've been really busy at the house today. I made a bunch of porcupine meatballs for both tonight's dinner and packed lunches later in the week. I also made 2 batches of kale chips and have a batch of pumpkin spiced apple butter simmering in the crockpot. I still have a doctor's appointment later today too.

I picked up a jar of pumpkin spice applesauce that we opened earlier in the week, but it wasn't very popular (heavy clove flavor, which the kids didn't enjoy). I put that plus a little more sugar and cinnamon in the crockpot and let it cook down all day. The quart of applesauce made a pint of apple butter -- and they liked it!
I was pretty wiped out by the end of the day.
