Well, that's a little over the top, but I did get through my rotator cuff surgery yesterday with no problems, praise God.
I really do appreciate all the prayers and good wishes.
With the heavy duty sling, ice pack contraption and Tens machine, I look like the Terminator.
At least I should be able to get in a more normal sling at some point
Thanks to the pain block, I'm not in too much pain so far, but I know it's coming. Got my strong meds right beside me!
Have to "sleep" in a recliner...after about 15 minutes and six pillows, I might actually sleep for a few hours.
But I am so thankful the surgery is over and I only have five weeks and five days and 21 hours to wear a sling.

Yes, I'm relieved the surgery went well, I just dread the recovery part. But God is a great Healer.

@1creekgirl The physical therapy helped a lot. When I started I was almost unable to lift my arm and now it's almost 100% back to normal. I needed 18 physiotherapy sessions in all, but at least I was able to use my arm and shoulder all the time. Good luck to you for a quick recovery.

I was doing great since the surgery yesterday, but in more pain today. But each day will be one day closer to being well. Hope you get better. Would physical therapy help?

Its never over the top to be happy to survive surgery, no matter what kind it is.
Maybe those GOOD pain pills will help you sleep.

I took a Zofran also last night to help with the nausea from the Percocet, so they helped me sleep some.

Glad that your surgery is done and now you can just sit back and recover. Hopefully the pain won't be too bad and that you get in some sleep.
