Why? Because of Lord Jesus Christ's example, in His infamous "Prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane." (I know the prayer in the video is very different, but ... why do you think churches so-often put their praise 'in song?') That prayer paints a very different picture from the usual understanding that 'we ask for- and believe we receive- and we shall have-whatsoever we humbly ask of our rich daddy in the sky.' Oh, Christians 'certify their requests' with "in Jesus Name, Amen" and maybe the infamous ending of the true prayer 'not my will, but thine be done'; but they usually hope that their own will be done, and then Our Father's will (since God's got plenty of time for God's self, and we only have these tiny human lifespans). Not to say "God won't let you get the blessings you need (or the blessings you use those blessings to earn)," just that a truly faithful believer would know 'what God's will is' (in any given situation) and would use that knowledge to both/either put themselves in a position to receive God's will's best rewards and/or steady themselves for the oncoming tumult
