Back from my doctor's appointment

I arrived a bit early and she took me right in. I have to go have a breast ultrasound done because of the density in my breasts but she said there were no masses or anything of concern. They just want to check it out further. The had told me when I had the mammogram done that I would probably get a call back to have an ultrasound because it was my first time having one. The doctor told me not to worry that things should be fine. I have to wait for the call for my appointment. So for now things are good.
My blood pressure was up a bit today so she said that she wants me to monitor it for a few weeks at different times throughout the day to see how it is running. It could have been the stress of going to the doctor today. After all the I have been through it does concern me when my blood pressure numbers start to climb.
Anyway so I am back at work, ready to take on another day! Hope everybody's day is going good.

Glad all is good. I think you are right the blood pressure is just because you was nervous about what the doctor had to say

That's the first thing I thought of when you said your blood pressure was up: they call it "white coat syndrome" in some places, and it's the somatic reaction to going to the doctor that affects the BP. I have it every time I go to the VA hospital, because things so seldom run smoothly there.
And, let's face it, when you're told you're going to be called back for a follow-up on the mammogram there's going to be anxiety.

yes I did have anxiety over it and I probably will until I get the results from the ultrasound.

I was thinking of you today and prayed all would go well. You can pick up a BP monitor at any pharmacy to monitor yourself. My blood pressure always shoots up when I visit the doctor. The nurse takes it first, then the doctor takes it twice. It's back to normal ranges the third time, when my exam is over. lol

I can feel it going up when I get to the doctors office. She said that it happens to lots of people that is why she wants me to monitor it. It just makes me nervous to see it go up after everything I went through. I don't want to go through that again,

Wonderful news! I have only had one mammogram in my life and I do not plan another. I hate those things.

Happy to hear that things are looking good and your blood pressure was probably high due to the whole doctor visit.
