Time For Some More Odd Facts

United States

You should know me by now. I love collecting ODD facts about people, places and things. There was a king in Egypt, King Farouk, who had 100 of his automobiles painted RED. Then he made it illegal for anyone else to own a red car. It has also been reported that he also had a large collection of clocks, bottle caps and toothpaste tubes. A twelfth-century Japanese emperor named Sutoku worked for three years to copy a vast Buddhist text. Instead of using ink however, he used his own blood. There was a Chinese artist, Huang Erhnan, in the 1920s, who specialized in silk paintings, but instead of a paint brush, he used his tongue. What do you think?

well, the third story seemed like the true, as I searched for it. The website did claim the things.

I think Sutoku might have needed a psych evaluation. Then again, the Chinese artist isn't the picture of normal.

Yes, I agree with you. It makes you wonder why a person would do any of these things.

About blood as stamp mark I can believe that as ink was not yed discovered (I think) On the other one using tongue instead of brush which I find it hard to believe as chemicals in paints are dangerous but maybe

I guess we could look him up online and confirm it. I know I wouldn't want paint on my tongue but some persons do some strange things.

I don't know who the man is on the note. It's just the only photo I had of an Oriental person.
