Diary Sunday 15th October 2017 An unwinding day after such a hectic demanding week and Saturday’s beer festival shenanigans, There was a brief almost leisurely shopping trip, some online job searching and TV watching but not much else. Diary Monday 16th October 2017 Much as yesterday, but without the shopping trip. The night ended in very fierce storm force winds, not quite the hurricane level carnage experienced in the US but there was some damage around the country and a few people were killed in Ireland. Diary Tuesday 17th October 2017 As the last few food collections from the community centre were badly managed I wa worried today’ revised service might go badly too, though overall the new ticket system worked well, though a few people were confused by it (in previous weeks no tickets were used and many were getting served despite not paying in advance, leaving les and in a few cases, nothing for paid customers. The biggest flaw was in the bag per customer contents where some of us got too much of specific food stuffs. I ended up with multiple pasta salads (which I quite like) and also three large helpings of swede, carrot and mash (which I could do nothing with). Diary Wednesday 18th October 2017 A university volunteer duty day, my first since the film festival last week. I was a medical guinea pig for five groups of student to use for asking questions to assess my health needs in relation to high blood pressure. The student and tutors involved were all very polite. As I am volunteer staff for the university I am entitled to a pas card that includes full aces to the university library resources and I collected my photo-ID pass card today, and used the library computers for a while before doing a little shopping nearby. As a cyclist, I hate wind in general. I'm so glad we get gale force winds only a couple times a year.

not much fun for pedestrians either but yes I can imagine it being dangerous for cyclists

Swede is the most tasteless vegetable that I know. I am glad that the food collection system saw a little enhancement. Now they should make an effort with the food they offer.

At least you liked the salad. Do you have no say in what you get?

Patients at the University hospital here are also like guinea pigs for the medical students who are always on the wards. A good thing in a way, because it was due to their presence that my unborn child is alive and a healthy young man today.
