Is it necessary to upload a display picture. Many of them in mylot didn't using their picture. Instead they are using some pictures of natural scenery.
My opinion is uploading your profile picture will attract your content more .
Do you agree ?

Personally speaking I have no issues in uploading my picture anywhere nor disclose the place I come from... Some members prefer not to upload their picture or disclose their place ...So it is left to the member as to what he or she wants to disclose

Do you mean the avatar picture or the images on the discussions?
Well, I've always set my own photo as avatar picture, while I tend to avoid photos of myself for discussions. I don't want to look too vain, although that would help me get more responses. 
As long as the photos are free domain or taken by the author of the post, I don't pay much attention.
The title is also important though, that means "display picture" but it might be better to just write it fully, in my humble opinion.

I think people put up pictures they are more comfortable with or associate with. That still in some way or the other show their personalities. You need to be here longer to understand how they relate.
