It Was Only Six Minutes?

Proof that I indeed do not like talking over a phone. Six minutes, what is six minutes? I started getting tense because I was talking to a friend of mine, I gave her what I wanted to be a quick call, I just wanted to tell her that I wouldn't be near my phone, but then she wanted to have a conversation and I was so not in the mood for a conversation. After the call ended it felt as if it had gone on forever and I checked the minutes and it had only been six minutes, talking for six minutes can feel like forever? Well, I suppose when you are in a rush, it can. Have you ever had the feeling that something carried on longer than it actually did?

I'm a gabber, and talk way too long on the phone. I really don't like wasting precious time, so limit it to a couple of close friends and my family. Texting is my friend. lol

I don't like wasting precious time either. And could not really focus on a conversation that day. Texting would be my first choice, Dianne, then email or other social media. Going to say good night to you then off. It is after midnight here again.

I have free minutes, so the cost of the call was not a worry. I just did not have time for a conversation. I should rather have whatsapped her .

@bluesa Only because you`re in a rush but maybe if you got lots of time to talk with your friend on the phone you might not notice the time

For you the time goes by fast and that is nice . For me the six minutes felt too long because I was in a rush.

@m_audrey6788 That is true unless you are talking to someone you really don't want to spend a lot of time with.

I don’t mind talking for a long time if i’m in the mood and fully engaged. And yes, it does make the time go by much faster than you realize. But if I don’t want to talk on the phone, those minutes seem to drag on forever! When I saw the title of your post, I thought it was about something else, and that you were going to complain that it was too quick! I’ll leave it to your imagination to figure out what i’m talking about. Just so you know, I would spend at least 10 minutes enjoying the sweet taste of your fudge before moving on to other things!

Yes, in this case, time dragged, I was in a rush and just wanted to let her know I wouldn't be near my phone, and she wanted to talk and talk. Lmao! Jeff! . Taking 6 minutes to make fudge is way too quick You better spend at least 10 minutes enjoying my fudge. It is excellent fudge! right back at ya

@bluesa I never spend anything less than 30 minutes (and sometimes an hour or more) enjoying a woman's desserts!

I don't like talking on the phone that much either. I'm on the other end like ok wrap it up. I can text four hours but if you call me I literally have nothing to say.

@bluesa I went to see the movie The English Patient and the movie theater was packed and I had to sit in the front by the wall. The bathrooms were in the back of the theater. That was the longest movie I ever went to see as I was too embarrassed to get up and block everybody's view as everybody was paying close attention. I was literally praying for the movie to end. It just would not end.

@1hopefulman I hate such moments. I once sat through a horrible movie because I didn't want to disturb those watching it. That hour and a half also felt never ending.

Six minutes is a long time. There are times I wish it was longer, and other times a lot shorter. One thing for sure is that time is precious so don't waste it!

I have a problem with the phone, I cannot stand to talk for a long time. Two days ago my Mom kept me 16 minutes talking over a phone, I felt almost sick.

@bluesa At one moment I pretended someone has knocked at the door to quit. My mom loves to talk and to talk and she repeats the same things hundred of times.

Waiting... for me, waiting seems slow my life. Seems like every second is too long to wait until the person or thing has arrived.

@YrNemo You are so funny but right. It is like sitting in the doctors office and while I am waiting my hands get sweaty and my nerves are shot. While in with the doctor the time flies by. Why is it the things we want to last longer never do?
