I had been eating like a Monkey the past 2 weeks

I don't know if this is stress from work or experiencing weather this cold is the reason but I got Fever, Cough and flu. The medicine brands I am used to are not available on this country. I don't know if this placebo effect or just psychological but I can't eat dishes. I can't eat, meat, fish, and veggies. They all tasted bitter to me. The medicines I am taking might be affecting my taste buds. I can only eat fruits because they remain sweet and palatable to me for some reason. I can't eat what I want because of my tastebud issue. I will go to the doctor in few hours and I hope that nothing is wrong with me. At this moment I just eat berries, bananas, Kiwi and cantaloupe.

So what happened . . . are you ok now ? It's possible your taste buds were affected . . . maybe your body is not used to these "new" medicines. Hope you feel better!

@CaptAlbertWhisker Dang - you lost 30 pounds? That's a lot ! If all is fine, then I would think you'll get back to your normal weight just by eating your usual foods.

I can now eat food that is not fruits. I am so happy that my tastebuds is back to normal. I lost 30 pounds because of it and I look very anorexic. I am trying to regain the weight.

It is possible that the medicine you are taking is affecting your taste. Fruits are healthy, you will be back to your normal food as soon as you feel better.

My doctor just told me what you just said. I am now feeling better and I hope tomorrow I can go back to normal food because I am so sick of fruits.

That sure is flu, you are sick and its flu. You have to take lots of fruits rich in ascorbic acid and vitamin C if you don't want to drink medicine.

My doctor told me its the meds. I was prescribed a different medicine from what I use and I hope this brings back my taste buds to normal.
