So Where is It?

The calendar tells me it's Autumn in my part of the world, but I see very little evidence in my town.
Instead of having chrysanthemums blooming, we have marigolds, roses, and hydrangeas alive and well. Thriving actually! Most of our trees are still green. Go figure.
Today we went for a drive in the hills of the countryside with friends. It was such a beautiful day, that we had lunch outdoors overlooking the lake. The Autumn trees were fabulous there. It tells me that our trees should look like that next week.
What is your season like?

Of course it's warm here and doesn't feel like Fall but it doesn't feel like summer anymore either.

You're right, it finally doesn't feel like summer hare anymore! This past week has actually been tolerable. It's nice that our humidity has finally decreased to a level that makes being outside bearable.

@moffittjc The humility can be unbearable here, too, in the summer. Glad it's going down to more bearable levels. It should be perfect by December 4th!!!!!! Look out! Here we come!

@DianneN I hope so too but I am preparing for the cold, ice and snow as I am 99.9% sure that the bad weather will soon be here and will be praying for spring to come early. .

@1hopefulman You are wise to prepare. You know it will come, Felix. I pray, too, since my family stays up north all winter. You know where I'll be!

I hope you get a photo of that to share with us.
Here it's been in the mid 70s to upper 80s lately but somewhat windy at times. Not really unusual for this neck of the woods. It's supposed to be more in the 70s next week, we'll see about that. The wee hours of the mornins are mainly in the low 60s to low 50s.
It's that time of year when I can go to bed and be feeling too warm then wake kinda cold about 4am, it's what causes me to catch cold sometimes.

I'm sure it must have been lovely then. My older son's mother-in-law and sisters are visiting Quebec right now and loving it! We've had a very dry spring, summer, and fall. I'm sure that has something to do with the colors, along with the the warmer temperatures.

Our immediate area, the multi-colored leaves have reached their peak. Tomorrow, we are taking a leisure ride, to view the colors on the west side of our state.

That is basically what we did today. We are in the southern part of our state. It was fall-like in the middle of the state for our son's wedding and looking very pretty there. I truly wish it would stay like this until we leave for Florida. lol

The only thing fall like is the lower temps and low humidity. I have beautiful roses blooming as well.

@DianneN So strange Dianne..you would love it here at the moment then..it is lovely and sunny but the trees are nearly bare and leaves are everywhere. Its not cold enough for heat maybe only in the wee hours of the morning..it was 36 this morning and now its 70. Thats how it goes here in CO.

Much like fall here with leaves changing and dropping all over too. We are getting a lot of rain, which is normal here for fall too.

We're suppose to have a mild winter here in the middle of Texas @DianneN ; which is fine with me since I don't like cold weather.

@DianneN I grew up in Nebraska where -30 below was nothing and we won't even add the wind chill into that.

The trees are finally starting to turn here. Still half green. Lots of warmer than usual days, though I did hear the weather forecaster say cooler weather was coming. That's a gorgeous plant in the picture. Any chance that's from the wedding?
