I saw my first Christmas commercial..and it is not even Halloween. It was not to buy a particular product, but it was a commercial for the Lifetime channel discussing all the Christmas movies they will be having. I was mildy surprised, but not shocked. Starting November 1 I bet you will start seeing them on a regular basis. Have you seen any Christmas related commercials? You can bet they are not going to wait until after Thanksgiving perish the thought!

@Kandae11 I remember when I was in retail and we did get Valentine things in before Christmas but we didn't put them out for sale until the day after Christmas.

@snowy22315 We love Thanksgiving because we watch the whole Macy's Day parade. Both my husband and daughter marched in the parade two different years.

I always loved being in retail and getting all the merchandise in and decorating the stores. It was fun but what was better was the sales after the holidays.

@snowy22315 You are right but you know that will not happen. Everyone wants to start making their sales for the year by starting the season early.
