Never Enough Time

After cleaning the kitchen this morning I ditched work and went shopping, taking Tony with me although he sat in the car because he was not feeling well. When I got home I unloaded the car and sat down to rest for a few minutes. I wanted to finish the greenhouse but I knew that would not be possible today but I did get the landscaping fabric laid and cut in. The dogs walked me a few laps around the fields and Harley dog helped me pick okra while Roscoe chased something in the high grass. I did not finish the gate, I need to put screen on the back. It is getting dark so early I do not get anything done in the evenings so I will have to put off cleaning till the evening and do outside stuff early. How do you adjust to the early darkness?

Much like you do I guess. Do all the outside stuff and leave the rest till later. Sometimes I leave the rest - period!

LOL, I wish they made throw away pots and pans, I can get paper plates and plastic forks but I am always left with pots and pans to wash.

Here we don't really have to as it is colder so you don't want to be outside doing things. One reason I want to move, hate the cold.

I walk the dogs everyday except rain. Even when its really cold, they love their time walking and I need outside even in winter. BUT I really hate the cold and putting on so many clothes.

@Ithink In December and /or January the days 50`s and the nights 30`s, but we never know about February, we can get ice, snow or freezing rain that makes black ice.

I don't go outside as late when it gets dark early. So anything I would need to do outdoors I would have to do earlier in the day.

@andriaperry I usually do my shopping and all that at night, but I won't go out alone at night, especially if it requires me walking. It's not safe here.

@Srbageldog You have a point. I was alone out walking, everything when Tony was in the hospital last December for a month.

The darkness only stops me from working, I go out anytime, sometimes I will go to walmart at midnight.

I don't like it either- and come November we'll really be in the dark. I wish they would ditch that changing the hour thing in Winter. It's dark enough as it is. haha!

I know the feeling, we are hurrying to finish things only to be delayed because we don't have much time to finish it. Next day again.

I adjust to it getting dark early by moving up everything that I do outside.

This is the hard reality of harsher weather coming on. I just have to say I'm done! and try to be content.

I don't mind the early darkness but the fact its dark when i wake up bothers me for some reason, I like to open my eyes to sun light I guess. You sound like a busy woman, one that enjoys life!!!

I'm getting used to the early darkness, though I really do wish it would stay lighter longer. I have a hard time seeing with the dark - cataracts.
