check-ins and some personal information are not being used to attack some people all around the world. For instance, some people are being kidnapped based on what they put on Facebook.

I don't give out where i live or when i am leaving the house. I also never share personal pictures of me or most of my family with the exception of my kitten. no human photos though or pictures of my house

Of course it is if you have people on your friends list who you don't know or don't trust with your life. That's why people need to stop adding people just to have friends.
