Right On Time This Year

The Pensacola Interstate Fair opened Thrusday for a week a half of fair fun and when the Fair comes usually sometime during that week we finally have a taste of cooler weather. After a couple of years of having warm Fair weeks, we are expecting cooler weather in the evenings come Monday night with the lows expected to be in the upper 40s for a couple of nights before going back to the mid 60s. Ah the time of year here when you don't know what you are going to be wearing from one day to the next until sometime mid April when it is back to summer style clothes. From now until then one day you could be in warm clothes, another fall style and yet another in shorts and this could happen all in one week depending on the fronts that come through. In a couple of months the snow birds will be coming down to the southern part of the state (we even get quite a few here though we do have COLD days here). At present they are expecting a warmer than normal winter and I hope that holds up especially for you snowbirds coming down @DianneN and @BelleStar. But I do hope for a couple of cold days so perhaps I can can wear my fur coat some this year.

Lol! Last season was one of the best we ever had, weather wise, in South Florida. I also heard that it will be just as great. I do enjoy the cooler nights when we can open the doors and windows, turn off the a/c, and listen to the waves. I bring a fur to Florida just in case we have to fly home for something. Now, I seem to wear them to walk the cat in the yard, so I'm going to give most of them to my sister-in-law when she comes for Thanksgiving. We seem to be the few that still wear fur. See you soon!!!!

@Elizaby I'm sure you love it and it keeps you warm. The first I had was when my beloved mother and I went on a shopping spree when my husband was away at a convention. He has been buying them for me every couple of years since. The last was just before we bought our condo in Florida. It's my most favorite of them all, and so soft and warm. I'm definitely keeping that one. I have to get them out of storage in November.

It is the first fur I ever had and it was a second hand gift from a dear friend a few years ago.

Those are cool evening temperatures, I didn't know that you got that kind of weather. I would like to think that our nighttime lows are in the 50's currently, but that will change, oh will that ever change! Once winter arrives it will be a whole new game.

We do, but it is in short spurts from now until it gets hot and stays hot again and about every 10 years or so we do get a mesurable snow fall and we should be about due.

@Elizaby We moved to what is referred to as the "snow belt" region of Southwestern Ontario. So, I fear that we'll need to brush up on our winter driving skills and of course purchase snow tires-which I've never ever needed for winter driving!

lol Dianne gets warmer weather in Palm Beach than I do in Ocala but still, I only wore my fleece once last winter lol I am looking forward to getting down there and maybe meeting up with a few Florida friends. Don't own any fur but fleece I have in abundance

Yes, when the waether is changeable it's difficult to know what to wear. Are you going to the fair?

I don't plan on it as I don't feel safe these days being in crowds
