Old school: I'd have to say Voltron and Thundercats, the original versions back in the 80s, but Sailor Moon from the 90s was my obsession.

Thundercats kinda walks that line of being anime and not being anime.... Technically it is because a Japanese production team worked on it partially it.
And you wanna talk old school, I envy you for Voltron, ThunderCats and Sailor-Moon being your first anime. Because my first anime where Astroboy from 1964 and 8th Man from the 1960s. I saw them both on VHS.

Cardcaptor Sakura way back in 2003 and Heidi before that. I rewatched Sakura and just finished watching all its episodes. It brings back those warm memories. I m attached to Sakura's life, her family, her school, her friends. I recently watches Patema Inverted, Garden of words. The more I watch, the more i get addicted. ??
