Though I did some decluttering 6 months back, my email inbox is cluttered.
I do know this is not an one time job.We have to do it at least once a week,if not once a day.
I read somewhere that we should read our emails everyday and either archive them or delete them.
I always keep putting off that. Also I could have saved so much space and time if I had unsubsribed so many of the unwanted emails.
Better late than never. So from today I will be allotting one hour daily to read, file, unsubscribe and delete my emails.
How does your email inbox look?

That is nice to hear.Once we make a habit of that we will not feel so much overwhelmed.

@silvermist I receive many emails for work, I cannot afford to miss an important message. My husband receives about 600 emails every day. They keep him busy.

That is the best method. It feels good when you open your mail, I am sure.

So when you look the inbox appears neat, but you still have some of those unwanted mail saved? I too often hesitate before deleting anything. But I think,I for the moment adopt your method until I get more time

@silvermist You're probably right. It just looks a bit tidier but I do go through those files from time to time and get rid of ones I don't want.

I always throw them into folders and read them when I am free. It takes about 2 hrs to clear all of them. Immediately, I delete the stuff which are not important as mail. and later on, keep the remaining in their appropriate folders.

That is a good way to deal with it.I just started and it seems like a never ending progress.

I don't bother unsubscribing to anything. If I don't want anything from that sender, I just mark it as spam and the email program does the rest. Hope you get your decluttering done!

Between grad school, interning, and working... I have to keep on top of my emails! If I don't see one, it can really put a wrench in my whole week.
