The gimick that is hulu with live t.v.

Does anyone else have Hulu? I am not sure what countries have access to hulu or not, and which countries might have the option of live t.v. I have hulu with live tv. I use it mostly for the new season of American Horror Story but I also like Hulu's original "chance" and a few others from the past. I recently decided to upgrade from hulu with live t.v. to hulu with live t.v. and no commercials. I pay a few more bucks a month, or I will if I choose to keep the option. I just contacted hulu support over having commercials during a recording of AHS. Their answer? "oh you have commericals on that, unless you get the enhanced DVR. So if I truly want no commercials at all? I have to get an even bigger DVR package, which means more money. Now in the grand scheme of things I guess it is all still less expensive than cable or satellite packages, but on top of everything else I have buffering difficulties at times, and seemingly "skipped" spots of t.v. A lot of people on hulu support are actually complaining about that. I am complaining here, not because I intend to get rid of hulu (though I may downgrade to live with commercials once again) but because hulu is, in itself a gimmick. "Oh here, upgrade for this amount and get this, but if you TRULY want this you have to upgrade again." I am keeping it because the minor skips do not bother me, I am keeping it because it does what I need it to do. I am still going to complain though, and if netflix or amazon offers something better? I might just get rid of hulu altogether. Oh, and for those who might suggest sling t.v.? Nope, no go. They are even worse.

I have had Netflix since soon after they came out. I got Hulu last spring because an old favorite tv series I like to watch occasionally was taken off of Netflix and Hulu had it. They have a lot of options but when I go to watch a series I find they have a good portion of the episodes but not all of them. I also have cable and DVRs up and down stairs. I figure all of these still is much less than if we all went to the movies as many times as we would like to.

Speaking of going to the movies, there are so many movies in theaters that I want to see. I do not usually go to the movies though. Most plans only charge $5 more per DVR right?

@ScribbledAdNauseum ......I just keep a list of the ones I want to see on Netflix and I am rather surprised how quickly they come up on Netflix.

I don't have enough bandwidth to have Hulu or I would have Hulu too. Hope it gets better.

I've never used any of these services. Sounds like a hassle.
