a.k.a Picture Post Script. Why? Because the picture didn't load in my Diwali discussion post .I thought I had taken the discussion off and would try and crop the picture later on.But checking into Mylot later, found that people had responded sans the pic.So am doing it seperately. The earthen lamps which I was talking about are placed all around the house.A very popular form of displaying them is to use the banana plant. These are plentiful and if you don't have them you can always ask someone in the neighbourhood for them. In urban areas enterprising boys make a quick sale on banana trees. These are fixed in place, if there is available land then all it needs is a hole in the ground. Pieces of bamboo with one edge sharpened and pointed like a spear are then pushed into the banana stem. And the space for the lamps is ready. The flickering golden light of these diyas light up the night from their natural light holders. Post script(to this post)...Tagging Coral @CoralLevang.
