She said 'Yes to the Dress"

I never got to post about how our day of wedding dress shopping went two weeks ago. I was kind of waiting until the bridal boutique posted this picture before I wrote my discussion. When we got there she told them that she didn't want anything that had too much bling or too poofy. She was looking for simple but elegant. We talked her into a few with bling but it just wasn't her thing. She went into the changing room with about eight dresses. She tried on two and she liked them but they were just not what she was looking for. The woman then went and picked out a dress that she thought would be perfect. It wasn't one that my daughter had originally picked out. She tried it on and she fell in love. She said, "This is the dress I am getting married in." It was the third dress that she had tried on. She had no desire to try on any of the other dresses after that. That was the one. Of course I was in tears the whole time. She looked so beautiful. The dress is the perfect choice for her. It a mermaid style wedding dress. She has the perfect shape for it. It is champagne color with a lace overlay. It has a train but nothing too big and it is light and comfortable not like the other two she tried which were heavy and she found the lace itchy on them. They were surprised how quickly she picked out the dress but as soon as she seen it she knew it was the one that she would walk down the aisle in. She ordered it that day and will have a fitting when it comes in. It takes 6-9 months for the dress to arrive and then it will have to be altered so it will be cutting it close to the wedding day. It was the perfect day and I am so thankful that I got to be a part of it and that I am here to enjoy these moments with her.
