A wonderful piece on a local news site caught my eye today, as would anything related to the original Star Wars story:
That famous whistling, clicking robot from Star Wars, the droid R2-D2, has been immortalised by graffiti artists in an open area near Prague in the Czech Republic.
The unsightly ventilation shaft in this piece of open land used to attract all sorts of scrawls and scribbles, but it has been completely revamped - pretty cool, don't you think ?

This is amazing! Would love to do something like this somewhere, but it's hard to find opportunities.

I absolutely love it! Fantastic piece of artwork, and a great way to improve the area and discourage graffiti artists from defacing the ventilation shaft. I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and R2-D2 is one of my favorites from the movies. I'm glad that they keep him and C3-PO in the storylines in all the new movies. It's great to see the old droids along with the new droids.

Ah, but the new droids are really older droids in some cases, as episodes I, II, and III precede in the storyline, but were made more recently than IV, V and VI. As for Rogue One... well, BB-8 is really cute, but it kinda is off to the side in the storyline.

@pgntwo Hahah, yes, I am aware of the order (and age) of the droid models. To me, nothing will ever be as great as good old R2!

I think that is a great idea it went from being unsightly to being a real attraction.

That is amazing! I love street art that looks like art. It brightens up a place.
