The Vampire And The Witch

A vampire named Drack asked a witch,
"D'you think I'd be able to hitch
a lift on your broom,
if you have the room
my life it would surely enrich."
The witch thought this odd, so replied
"I think that your motive you hide,
I know you would try
to suck my neck dry
if I were to give you a ride."
"Oh no ma'am, that's not what I mean
your blood wouldn't suit me - it's green,
I will behave well
so don't cast a spell
and I'll treat you just like a queen."
"Vampire, I think you are bluffing,
my blood you soon would be quaffing,
and you I don't trust
to curb your sick lust,
so sod off back to your coffin."

@sueznewz2 Thanks Sue - I wasn't sure if the myLot police would consider it swearing, but decided to risk it. It gives a good 'punch' to the end of the poem, doesn't it?

Ha, the old quarrel betwixt the vampire and the witch. One casheir asked a manager why witches ride brooms and the answer was because vacuums are too heavy. Not sure if that was made up or an old one. I've not heard it before that I can recall.
Do kids in other countries go door to door for treats, Janet? I'm guessing not.

We never get trick or treaters in my area, but I believe it's catching on a bit elsewhere.
