We have this weekend. Actually, it started already last Friday afternoon. This trade fair event is called Hansefest and it showed how the Middle Ages sold their selfmade products in the market place. Well, the market place is where the shopping city promenade is located. That's where the traders are selling their goods. There are many wooden toys, handicrafts like crochet tablecloths and napkins, jackets made of sheeps skin, old style batik clothing and more. There are also different kinds of herbs and candied fruits for sale. Traders are wearing those Middle Ages clothes and looking like the people of Robin Hood and Lady Marian of England. Besides the event, the shopping mall and other shops are open for tomorrows event at 1 in the afternoon until 6 in the evening. Another thing is, we have to change our summer time to winter time again. That means, I have my 1 hour again that I lost last summer So, what's up in your place? I hope the weather is good tomorrow and it will not rain so I can stroll and see what are for sale in the event. The photo I took this Saturday morning at the shopping promenade. The tents and stalls for the Hansefest have just opened this morning when I went to work. Thanks for reading. Good night and see you when I wake up. CIAO!

Sounds like that might be a fun trade fair. We just have the occasional French market, and farmers' markets. We get the extra hour too.

Yes, it was a fun trade. I saw a Dutch Strassenorgel and the owner showed me how it worked. Awesome. Sorry, I don't know the English of this music instrument but I will show you later in my next discussion.

Do they sell lots of candles and jams etc there? I attended some similar fairs, and those things always seem to present.

I like the trade fair in your side because I am interested in handicrafts. It seems that they are for individuals rather and the products are unique there. We also have a trade show here every year and it is much more globally. It is for real business. Many vendors will have the professional exhibitions for their products here and many foreign businessmen come here. It was a good way to have more business in the past. Even until today the internet is so convenient, this kind of trade show is still attractive because they will show their best products there.

I like the Autumn fairs and festivals. We have food fairs in this late days of October. People from the mountains come down to sell their local products, cheese, honey, sausages, chestnuts, grapes. It's very nice.

Yes we have trade fairs quite often here, but not quite like the Hansefest. I think it's really interesting how the traders dress in those costumes.

I think it is different in every country @cahaya1983. Yes, it is interesting how the people in the Middle Ages were their clothes. Thanks for dropping.

We have an arts and crafts show about two times each summer, down at the Tawas City Park. They set up tents, so every artist can display their special items and another table for doing their transactions. Some are paintings, while others are lovely, handmade crafts. Others have food items and candy for sale.
