True. You can't out train a bad diet. What you eat is equally important to how you train.

I think " you are what you eat " is more concerned towards predespositions to certain kinds of conditions and illnesses especially later on in life rather than social behaviour or how we deal with others.
It may however affect social interaction indirectly as in the case of poor health or high blood pressure to name a few examples of conditions related to food.
