Dark and dreary here this morning, and when I looked at the clock this morning it was almost 9:30! Even if I don't get up early, I usually wake up much earlier. I think I went to sleep at about 1 am so I got a full 8 hours last night..a rarity for me. Do you sleep later when it is dark and or rainy outside?

I actually woke up earlier than I intended to this morning. I was up by seven thirty.

I always tend to sleep longer when the weather is like this.

I wake up the same time regardless of what it is like outside.

I usually get up at the same approximate time..that is why I was surprised when I looked at the clock.

Good morning to you as well. I wish I could sleep late when it rains. It is great bed weather.

I have a pretty good internal clock during weekdays. It doesn't matter how dark or light it is outside, my body will wake me 5 minutes before my alarm clock goes off, every time. But on weekends, my internal body clock must take a break, because as long as it is dark, I will stay asleep!

Your mind including your sub conscious knows it's the weekend and turns your internal clock off. I am the same way if I have something to get up for..I don;t need an alarm..but if I don;t I can sleep.

@moffittjc My internal alarm isn't quite that good..but it is pretty much on point.

@snowy22315 There's only been one or two times in my life that I can remember where I needed my alarm to wake me up. I've always had the uncanny ability to wake up before my alarm goes off!

Does it make it hard to get going in the morning?

@andriaperry You work so hard, I am sure you are dog tired by the time you go to bed. I am not usually that tired so I struggle sometimes..I usually get enough sleep so I am not tired the next day though.

@snowy22315 No I find it easier to sleep, I usually always get up th same time everyday, sometimes with the clock alarm but most of the time I just wake up. I am good at getting 8 hours of sleep too.

No, the weather has nothing to do with how I sleep.

When it is rainy I am tempted to remain in bed, but I don't usually. I get up at 6am. every day.

That is what I should probably do..but not too much is happening then..and in the Winter it is cold in here at that time.
