Good afternoon. We have a big storm coming in tonight and wind and rain. We went to an antique show that we got most of the time on sunday morning. Many here ask me how the pie turned out. Well I was not very happy with it.The company loved it. Of course they are not going to lie about it I did not liked it for one reason.I put too many apple slices in. I felt that the apples were not cooked enough. The boys ate it up.We had Vanilla Bean ice cream. They boys have an eating disorder as we knew this. Mike agree not my best.No more piling up the apples back to normal. Mike will eat it.I will not. Why?I am the baker of course Have a good afternoon. The photo was part of the decoration at the show.

Hello there, I bake alot and for whatever reason it has always come naturally? How do you prepare the apples? I feel like baking them would dry them out, but maybe boiling them with a little cinnamon and then using them in your recipe may help cook them entirely so that it won't matter how much or little you use. Just a though.

I love your photo, it's so creative! A baker is always their own, harshest critic:( My mother would pile apples into her pies, then complain because there wasn't enough filling! LOL She could bake, wonderful things to eat! Can I give you a little tip I learned? My friend Joyce taught me this, first bring all the filling to a boil on the stove-top. Then, add it into your bottom crust. This assures that your fruit will always be completely cooked, when the crust turns golden brown.
