Ahhhh, shopping...

Be honest and raise your hands, how many of you love to shop???? Now visualize shopping for a house of the basics. You know, furniture, linens, kitchen stuff, flatware, dishes, I could go on with the list. I love shopping myself, but I think of what lies ahead and I'm not to anxious to go. I'll do it, but I won't be too happy about it. My favorite kind of shopping is hitting the local thrift shops for collectibles, fake fur coats, minks that can be recycled into teddy bears, and even clothing. Any one wanna go shopping with me?

Basic shopping is a chore. Thrift stores is treasure hunting.

You're right there. You have to go through a lot of junk to find a treasure, but it can be worth it!

You're right that thrift shopping is treasure hunting! It's also a saving grace for me when I ended up in the situation I'm in now where everything I owned except the clothes I was wearing and my purse were destroyed by the fire. I love super large men's tee shirts. We went to the Goodwill near me and I could get a few clothes to get me by. I can't pass a good thrift shop!

As I just told Ocean Tiara it is so wonderful having you on the lot! I get up in the morning not believing that everything burned in the fire, then my brain wakes up and I mourn all over again. Having you in my life helps so much! Thank you!!!!!!

@TiarasOceanView you are so sweet! Thank you so much for being on the lot! I got up this morning and couldn't accept that my home burned down! It's like a horrible dream, and when my brain gets back to working after I wake up I mourn the loss all over again.

I'm not looking forward to shopping to replace all the stuff I lost.... It's more of a chore to me. Especially because so much of the stuff was vintage.

Unfortunately this will be necessary as everything I had was destroyed in the fire on October 2nd.

@paigea I couldn't get insurance. I did kind of luck out, the fire was caused by a rather well off outside person and the incident report confirms the fact. I speak to an attorney in a few days.

Our first stops will be at the shelters for new furry family for my home. Then onward from there, I including stops for substance.

What you said is no doubt is correct. But, this shopping is meant for the items prepared and recycled for others to shop only. I do not use them at home. Too...selfish...I am..

I have to admit tat the thrift shops have saved me this month after having my home burn to the ground on October 2nd. There is nothing left!
