you will be suprised but i found 10$ two times in same day.
in turkey we have special days , we call it bayram! in that day many kids get pocket money from older people (grandmom granddad or aunt,uncle)
in that day we were playing outside and at 13.30 i found 10 bucks (sure turkish lira) then at night we were playing hide and seek,so suddenly i saw another 10$ too.they must be money of kids who lost when they were playing i think.
i felt very very lucky !!

Happened to me a couple of times. My first instinct is to look for the rightful owner of the money. If that ain't possible, then I get to keep the money.

Back in ’04 or ’05, when I living in Turlock, CA, I walked to the 99 Cents Only Store one evening to buy some Acti-Flex razor cartridges and a few other things. I grabbed my stuff, checked out, and headed out to return home. A couple doors down the strip was a clothing shop, with a bench out in front. There was a beaded, coin pouch on the bench, black with a pink martini glass. I put it in my pocket and sat on the bench for 15 minutes, waiting to see if anyone came around, looking like they’d lost something. No one came, so I went home. When I got home, I opened the pouch, and found $140 inside.

Quite a few times I found money on the street when I lived in NYC. Here in Latvia I have found a penny or two but not much more.

I have not found money on the street in a long time. It was nice when it happened. Recently I saw something and gave it to the store person and said it was not mine but he gave it to me. It was not much but to me every little bit helps.
