Migraine Or Sinus Headache?

This time of the year I hear so many people having a bad headache and I am also hearing the label " Migraine." But is it really a migraine? I used to suffer with bad headaches but only twice a year, Spring and Fall, sometimes so bad I would be in bed, no noise and no light could be tolerated. I forget who but one day one of my elders gave me a sinus pill, back then there were only two brands, and it was my miracle pill! Poof! Headache gone. I also remember this person telling me about the cold fronts was making my head hurt. Back 30 something years ago I went to Tony`s mothers house and Tony was laying in the floor, I asked "what is his problem?" and she told me he had one of those bad headaches, Tony had a broke neck from a motorcycle wreck back in the early 1970`s and suffered with severe headaches, I asked "what is he taking?" and she had told me some prescription but he could only lay comfortable in the hard floor. So me being me................ I went to the store and bought a pack of sinus pills, have him 2 and ya know what? No more headache. This morning I woke with a small sinus headache but Tony has a whopper so we both have taken a sinus pill each and its all gone. And now you know why people like me being their caregiver.. I think inside the box of sinus pills (.99 at the dollar tree) and not inside a bottle from a doctor, I can only imagine that cost! Have you tried sinus pills for your headache? Photo - Wild daisies

I rarely get headaches and when I do it is a very slight one and I endure them. I used to get them and I think that drinking water helps me avoid them. Whatever the reason, I'm just glad I don't get them anymore.

@andriaperry I don't really like pain of any kind and am always looking for ways to avoid it since most medications only cause more problems for me and I have to always try to prevent it. I'm glad that the medication works wonders for you and Tony!

@1hopefulman I am not a pill taker either. I have my natural remedies I try first, sometimes just a cup of coffee is all I need.

Yep, I have to packages one in my purse and one in my computer room. I don't get sinuses like I used to since quitting smoking. However this morning I woke up and had a headache, felt like a migraine kind of however seeing it was more by the eyes I knew it wasn't. Also when I have migraines I get so sick to my stomach I cant stand it. So popped one and it helped. YAY!

I am happy you have found a solution to your problem.. sounds interesting I have not had headache for many years, so maybe I am eating right, or/and drinking enough water.. My blood pressure is better than last time and sugar levels are rather good, maybe the diabetes will reverse.. Bought Dandelion root tea, will see how It works..?? Will also take ”Swedish Bitters”, good for most health problems..

I am only a diabetic but so were both parents and one side of the family, I am sure if I would behave and change the way I eat I could reverse it. I am a bad girl!

I am a sinus sufferer. When I get a sinus headache my eyes feel like they will cross. I always rely on sinus pill since nothing else will help anyway.

I do tend to get sinus headaches when the seasons change and taking a pill does help. Glad that you were able to get rid of both your headache and Tonys this morning. I should pick up a bottle at the 99 cent store to have on hand

I don't really get headaches unless I'm sick with a sinus infection. Sinus headaches are the worst.
