Wild is the Wind

Good afternoon.
Yes wild is the wind.At midnight the wind howl and the rain falling heavy and fast.
We lost our power in the middle of the night.
for some reason the generator did not kick in.Mike went out to see what is going on.This is three in the morning.It was pitch black in our home.
We had a couple of lantern and flashlight.
Did not sleep too well.Ms.Ruby was petrified of the wind.
she spend most of the time in bed with us.
Finally got her calm down.
The lights came back on after seven and miss my game of tennis.
Which is fine as we were up most the night.
now I am heading off to bed for some much needed rain.
The only damage is branches from our trees.We move our car last night.
Anyone here effect by this nor'eatern storm.

I don't know if it is the same weather condition that is affecting us but the winds are blowing hard and loud. I wanted to go out but hopefully they will calm down or at least the rain will stop as my umbrella won't be a match for this.

@amadeo Well, it stopped raining and I went for a 30 minute walk and I enjoyed it. The air is always fresher when the wind blows. It was fun!

I was planning to sleep early last night but i heard strange loud sounds on the roof so I stayed awake for at least an hour.

We didn't get as bad a storm as originally predicted but today the wind is pretty fierce. The sun is trying to come out but the sky is filled with gray clouds. Sorry you didn't get much sleep but thankfully your power came back on. Get some rest and hope the rest of your day turns out okay

At last count there is over 250,000 people without power in the state. A couple thousand of those are near me.

@amadeo - We have vinly albums in a box and Mathis in our collection. Sadly we can't play the records because we don't have aturntable. It got broke and by that time my husband had started playing CDs on his CD player. But I won't let him get rid of them. You never know. We might be able to play them again one day. A bit of bio trivia about this entertainer. You know when Johnny Mathis made it big, he took care of his entire family. I don't remember how many siblings he has but he didn't come from a small family. And of course, he looked out for his mom. He's a good guy! You can't help but be happy for his success.

It would be awful to have a tree branch fall on your car. We had one fall on ours once and we thought it would have done a lot of damage but when we removed the branch we decided it must have come down very slowly. It had pushed the car towards the ground but when we got the branch off the car was undamaged except for bending the emblem a little.
