Johannesburg, South Africa

Today I will share a few fun and interesting facts about our road rules and driving. I am sure that your area will be different. We drive on the left side of the road. Our car steering wheels are on the right side of the car. Minimum age of drivers is 18 to have a learners or drivers license for a car. Minimum age of having a license for a motorcycle is 16. Our Speed limits currently are 60km/h in urban areas. 100 km/h in rural areas. And 120 km/h on freeways running through a residential area. The speed limits will be changing soon though. We have a new demerit System that is coming in this year apparently. Which you can read more about in this link. https://mybroadband.co.za/news/motoring/227989-south-africas-new-demerit-system-how-you-lose-points-on-your-licence.html Stay tuned for more interesting things about South Africa tomorrow. That is interesting. Are there any regulations that you have that we might not have?

That is a good thing. So you would not get confused if you visit here.
