Well, don't go by the title of the post Yes, I am aware of what Halloween is all about...get to see people celebrating the day with much enthusiasm, some of my overseas friends who migrated or settled in Western half of this globe too celebrate the day and then what I get to see is all creepy pictures on their Facebook wall But honestly, here in India there's not much interest around this day, not even celebration to a larger extent...yes small community celebrations do happen in fringe corners, but the Discs and Clubs do push for a Halloween theme party Besides that, I pity those healthy pumpkins who get sacrificed for no reason

We don't celebrate Halloween either. It is gaining a bit more popularity here in England, but not in my area.

Yes, pity the poor pumpkins, especially the ones that get smashed by hooligans.

we celebrated halloween in cemetery, most of the people here go to the cemetery and sleep there until November 2. It's looks like family reunion all over the cemetery.

@nomus24g yup, they built some tent to sleep with, cook their foods there, before they allowed the guitar and radio liquor also, but because of some trouble all fights incidents, they make it solemn. and not allowed those things.

I don't do Halloween =) At my previous work we had .. a carnival & food catered and that was fun! But now, I don't do anything to celebrate. I do put a bucket of candy out for the kids

I agree. Pumpkins need to have rights, just like everybody else.

Well a lot of people do eat the insides of their pumpkins as well as the seeds. Usually they are just hollowed out. Interesting how all of our cultures have different customs for sure.

Some people use the seeds of the pumpkin to make snacks! Haha but a rotting pumpkin sure doesn't smell good. I guess it would make sense that Halloween isn't a big thing over there since don't you all have many other celebrations around this time of year?

Yes, it is sad to see a pumpkin go through a carving. I do hope the carving is not a painful process for pumpkins.

America needs an occasion to be merry, and that's not a bad thing. Halloween seems to be a pre-Thanksgiving celebration. Though the pumpkins were turned into frightening lanterns, I will go for that than bloody zombies. Besides, they concoct pumpkin pies and soup. And pumpkin soup I have tasted. It is good.
