Welcome to today's edition of Good News Stories. Today I have two human interest stories I think you will enjoy and realize that there is good in human kind after all. Neighbor's Harvest Farmer's Last Crop Van Brownlee passed away in May from a heart attack after he finished planting his last crops, 235 acres of corn and 165 acres of soybeans. His neighbors converged on the Brownlee farm with combines to harvest his crops. It's what neighbors do. Van Brownlee had helped other farmers when they were in need, and they returned the favor. His widow would have preferred they harvest their own crops first, but they would have none of it. To read this wonderful story and video about neighbor helping neighbor, click on the link below. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/humankind/2017/10/30/neighbors-pull-together-harvest-farmers-last-crop/807811001/ Haircuts for the Homeless Felisha Ruehmer started doing haircuts for the homeless after being tagged in Facebook about a man who gave them, and felt it was what she needed to do. After seeking advice and getting help, she started cutting hair, letting a local homeless shelter know she was going to give them haircuts. She did 106 free haircuts the first day in February 2016. Since then she has given over 1300 free haircuts, and given out clothes as well as providing showers, food, and clothes.
