We're having a Halloween Ball
with invites sent out to you all,
a dress code applies
wear sheets and boo ties,
or dress as a witch to enthrall.
Before the Ball starts we'll have fun
as into the streets we will run,
we'll scare all the folk,
(they'll know it's a joke)
then back to the Ball when we're done.
There'll be lots of i-scream to eat,
spooketti will make us replete,
hide and shriek we will play
then we'll boogie away,
and won't have to do trick or treat.

I have ma -scared my eyes
And put on blood red lipstick
Tied a jaunty boo tie
Now, what mask do I pick?
My gown is a bedsheet white
That fits the dress code,
I am sure we'll give them a fright
When we run out on the road
A night of sumptuous feasts
And gory delights
As we trick or treat
At Jabo 's tonight
See you soon

Arm's entered the spirit of things
and around us all she'll run rings,
in her master disguise
and bloodshot eyes
such fun to the party she brings.

No, not really.
It just that I am from the West Midlands touching near to the border of Cymru North Wales.
I used to watch "Corrie" a lot so that is where I pick up there accent.
I also love "Eastenders" and take their accent off a treat if I say so myself as my Sister In Law is also a true Cockney and she only laughs at me.
Right now luv ah must goo now gorra gerroff the line.
Speak tomorrow so tired I am falling asleep here kid.

Another neat one. If there is witches, you know I have to be a vampire. Witches get stitches. I make the worse jokes. Being your last poem was about a witch that did not trust a vampire.

@MarshaMusselman Yes, once the date has passed those sort of posts become superfluous, don't they?

@jaboUK I took some pictures of spiders on a roof that I was going to share that day, but time got ahead of me and I missed it.

I decided against making tracks
After learning about certain facts
No party is complete
With nothing to eat
And I heard there will be no snacks
You intended to brew quite a load
But misread what the recipe showed
You found eye of bat
And milk of black cat
But could not find a wing of toad

@jaboUK I teased my children often when they were tiny. Whenever they said, 'mom, can we have ice cream?' I would ask them, 'are you sure?' When they nodded innocently, I said, 'OK, ready, I am going to scream soon, I scream, right?' Their faces were so funny... round eyes and a bit shocked!

Cool that you found entertainment to match the mood of the night with 'i-scream, spooketti and hid and shriek'. Great limerick as always.
