Jay's Six Point Buck, Walked By

This morning, a nice sized, six-point buck walked through our neighbor's yard! It made me smile, because they're extremely safe within the city limits. I couldn't wait to call my husband on his cell-phone, to let him know what I'd just seen! Jay and his friend Dan, plan to go deer hunting in a couple weeks. They hunt way out in the country on private land so, they won't have any other hunters walking in that forest. They refuse to ever hunt on public land, because it's far too dangerousNo, I didn't get a photo of the deer, he moved too fast.

These deer are quite tame, because people around here feed them.

@alberello75 We have trees also, but not that thick any more. Our home is right on the edge of a forest. This is where I grew up!

Ah, the deer that got away. I hope he gets a nice buck when hunting season arrives in a couple weeks.

Thanks, he's already getting his gear together. The tree stand is still up, from last year.

@just4him Thanks! Jay always ends up with a deer hung up, in our garage. But, he has never shot one, himself. His friends get two or three deer and then give one to us.

Beautiful photo even without the deer. I'm not a fan of hunting.

Neither am I. Animals out in the wild should be left alone, to roam freely!

My husband has been a hunter for many years, but now he often just enjoys sitting in his condo deer stand and watching the wildlife.

LOL! That is gonna kill him, if he is anything like my hubby. We have deer in our backyard all the time, I love watching them and the babies. Hubby is so excited to go. He wants me to go sometime but no I hate the cold.
