Are you covering your webcam with a tape?

Recently when I was busy scanning my Facebook. I happen to tumble in one the videos about covering your webcam with a tape. It was stated that since we rely on the internet possible hackers are doing their magic to get in. Whether we are not a celebrity for that matter but we are also liable for our safety.
So I followed it and put some cover in my webcam, of course for safety purposes. Because recently I've been getting an email about someone login in somewhere using my account. So aside from putting a cover, I also change my password from time to time.
Who knows? Because I believe that each one of us has a stalker.

I've done that since last year I think. It's scary reading cases where people's webcam got hacked.

Keep your Java updated all the time. AV software like ESET have realized this pretty quickly and now it has an option for social media protection as well which includes unauthorized access to your webcam and other hardware. But the tape thing is an additional security no hacker can bypass.

I cover my laptop,too. In this age of technology, it has it's good points along with the bad. Thanks for the tip.
