Does taking tea prior to sleep, have any effects on the sleeping pattern? i love tea, but quite often I am getting sleep disturbances. During the day when active it keeps me up to task. pic by pixabay

I love tea and drink quite a bit of it. It does not bother me even before sleeping.

tea has caffeine just like coffee so probably have some effect on sleeping pattern, but I think in general everything depends on the person and how our body react to it, some people will say that after having tea at night they sleep right away and well while others have the opposite effect

I tend to drink decaf mostly - no sleep problems there.

Tea prior to sleep? If you take a lot (a giant quantity) and very strong, I can warranty you a dream full of searching for toilets or bathrooms... Good or bad dreams depends on if you find any such room .

Caffeine usually keeps people awake when they just want some sleep. I try to cut out any caffeinated drinks after 6pm, but I should probably change the cut off to 3pm.

You should try a caffeine free tea if you have to drink it before bed.

When I drink tea or coffee, I find it very difficult to sleep. During the day drinking a cup of tea or coffee keeps me energetic.
