Had A Scare This Evening

It was a windy, chilly day out today and I thought some Wendy's chili sounded really good. I sent my daughter over to get dinner from Wendy's and she came back saying my debit card was declined. I got nervous right away. I have just had two fraudulent debits on my account last month and got them taken care of. Now what? Did she have them run it twice? Yep! Ugh! Couldn't imagine what was wrong except that they might be keeping a close eye on my account for a while. I called my bank and the nice young man told me he didn't even see any tranactions from Wendy's. It must be their system. Whoa! What a relief. No weird issues. I had my daughter go back and try again. The worker who took her order used a different register and it went through fine. Thank goodness. I use my debit card alot during the month.

I've had that happen and it was the terminal's fault. Another time, the store's whole system was slower than molasses... luckily I had enough cash with me that time.

I don't have a debit card but my husband uses his all the time. Someone opened a Walmart card in his name, thank goodness it was easy to prove he didn't do it. And someone got a hold of my credit card number and tried to use it but thankfully it was blocked.

You sound like me. I have to keep a really close look at my finances. So one supermarket check out had a bad machine. I put in my debit card and was not approved. I nearly passed out and then went to the ATM and got money out the card and account were just fine. Stupid machine when I returned to the cashier I wanted to rip off that machine but I kept my cool. Glad you got it all straightened out.
